Holme Grove Fabienne

Happily eating - Nov 03

Holme Grove Fabienne was born in 1992 and was purchased by Woodwalton Stud and Mrs Joan Heath from Holme Grove Farm as a foal to be one of the foundation mares.  At the age of 4, Fabienne produced the Sud's first home-bred pure trakehner, the grey filly Woodwalton Fleurduc (by Marduc).  With Fleur at foot, Fabienne went to the TBF Show, was graded into the Main Stud Book, and then was 2nd in the Graded Brood Mare class - despite Bev insisting on showing her although she was ill and barely able to walk, let alone run!

After a year's gap, Fabienne was put in foal to Godington Stud's Roland, resulting in a bay colt, Woodwalton Faroah (born in 1998).  After Faroah was weaned, Fabienne was backed and ridden to assess her temperament and ability.  Having shown a talent for flying changes, Fabienne has now returned to being a broodmare and was been on loan to Godington Stud for a 2003 foal.  Having produced a nice chestnut filly foal by Godington Hannibal, Fabienne returned to Woodwalton in November 2003 and had another lovely Hannibal colt on 5 Jun 04.  This chestnut colt has been named Woodwalton Falstaff and he will be retained by Woodwalton Stud.
